RNC Perpetual Awards

At the annual End of Season Presentation Event, a number of perpetual trophies are awarded to members of the Rossmoyne Netball Club community. In the weeks leading up to this event all club members including financial players, parents and officials are invited to nominate individuals for these awards.

Molly Rodgers Service Award

This prestigious club award is named after the 1980 inaugural winner, Molly Rodgers, who was instrumental in the formation of the Rossmoyne Netball Club. This award is presented to a senior/adult club member (not generally a player) for their outstanding service to the club over an extended period of time in an administrative role e.g. committee member, coach or umpire. The recipient will be a role model who upholds, at all times, the RNC code of conduct. An individual may receive this award more than once.

 

Tangney Senior Award (17&Under, 19&Under and Senior Teams)

Established in 1982, this award is presented to a club member for their outstanding service in one or more roles (committee member, coach or umpire).  The recipient will be a role model who upholds, at all times, the RNC code of conduct. An individual may receive this award more than once.

 

Beeliar Junior Award (Junior Teams A-H)

Established in 1995 to replace previous Sub-Junior and Junior awards, this trophy is presented to a club member for their outstanding service in one or more roles (committee member, coach or umpire). The recipient will be a role model who upholds, at all times, the RNC code of conduct. An individual may receive this award more than once.

 

Umpiring Service Award

Established in 2000, this award is presented to a club member, either senior or junior, for outstanding service as an umpire. Criteria for this award include rules knowledge, umpiring ability/standard, commitment and reliability. The recipient will be a role model who upholds, at all times, the RNC code of conduct. An individual may receive this award more than once.

 

Rising Star Award

Established in 2005, this award is presented to either a new coach or umpire in recognition of their enthusiasm and commitment to the sport of netball. The recipient will have demonstrated a desire to improve their knowledge and ability in their particular field as well as displaying the traits of team spirit, fairness and sportsmanship which provides a worthy role model for others.

 

Morrell Service Award for Coaching

Established in 2007, this award is presented to a club member, either senior or junior, for outstanding service as a coach. Criteria for this award include commitment, mentoring, sharing knowledge and passion for the game of netball. The recipient will be a role model who upholds, at all times, the RNC code of conduct. An individual may receive this award more than once.

 

President’s Award

Established in 2013, this award will be presented to any member of the club who has made an outstanding commitment to the Rossmoyne Netball Club during the season in any capacity including playing, coaching, umpiring and club management. The recipient will be a role model who upholds, at all times, the RNC code of conduct. An individual may receive this award more than once.

 

Clive Griffiths Junior Award

Awarded between 1980 – 1999, now discontinued.

 

Margaret Collett Sub-Junior Award

Awarded between 1982 – 1994, now discontinued.
