In summary:
- 80% of fees will be refunded if a registered player withdraws prior to the commencement of club grading (in 2018 this cut-off date is strictly 9am Tuesday 13th February). This cut-off date is for ALL members, irrespective of age group and grading dates for that age group.
- No fees will be refunded by the Rossmoyne Netball Club after this date.
- You may apply for a refund of the Fremantle Netball Association/Coastal Region/Netball WA portion of the fees. The application process is detailed in the policy.
NETSETGO
The Rossmoyne Netball Club is now a registered NetSetGO Centre and is able to offer programs to children as young as 5 years old. NetSetGO replaces the Junior H, G and F grades and is available to both boys and girls between 5–10 years of age. All registered participants receive a pack which includes a netball, an activity book and a Suncorp NetSetGO T-shirt.
Registrations for NetSetGO have a different closing date so please ensure you read the NetSetGO section of our website for further information.
UNIFORMS
The cost of uniforms is met individually and separately from the registration fee.
Uniforms are ordered online, however it is strongly recommended that a uniform fitting session is attended PRIOR to orders being placed.
Please visit the Uniform Information section of our website for further information including the dates of fitting sessions and order deadlines.
GRADING AND TEAM SELECTION
The Rossmoyne Netball Club has a 3 part process for team selection:
Part 1 – 2017 Player Observations
During the third round of matches and finals in 2017, members of the Grading and Team Selection committee observed all teams to gather additional player information for team selection.
Part 2 – 2017 Coach Reports
Consideration will be given to the previous season’s Coaches Report which will include comment on ball skills, footwork, court sense, athleticism, determination and attitude.
Part 3 – 2018 Grading Sessions
Players are required to attend 2-3 sessions of match play against girls of the same age group in February/March 2018.
Attendance at the grading sessions is compulsory for all players and non-attendance will impact on team selection. Players will only be able to trial at grading if they have paid full registration fees for the 2018 season. The Grading and Team Selection committee retains the right to hold an additional grading session if required. The full list of grading session times is available here
The Grading and Team Selection Committee will make the final decision on team selection from information gathered from the player observations, coaches’ reports and the grading sessions. Where a player is unable to attend any grading session, that player will be placed in a team at the discretion of the Committee.
Grading sessions are tailored to each age group and may incorporate players across two years of birth:
- Senior grades (born 1998 or earlier) – players are required to attend 2 grading sessions
- 19 & Under (born 1999 and 2000) – players are required to attend 2 grading sessions
- 17 & Under (born 2001 and 2002) – players are required to attend 2 grading sessions, with a third session scheduled if required
- Junior A, B, C, D, and E grades (born 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007) – players are required to attend 2-3 grading sessions with other players in their year of birth
- GO-F and GO-G grades (born 2008 and 2009) – players are required to attend a skills based assessment session rather than formal grading
- SET grade (born 2010) – random placement of players into teams. No grading.
